Saundarya City Uses Modern techniques have enabled advanced methods for surgical hair transplants that can help restore lost hair, replace or re-shape hairlines with your own natural, growing hair, which needs no more care than the ordinary washing, styling and trimming you have always done. Hair transplantation is so advanced that often barbers and hair stylists cannot tell the difference between natural growing hair and the hair grafts that have been placed.
Who can benefit from hair transplant surgery?
Anyone who has experienced permanent hair loss may be a candidate for hair restoration surgery, including:
Men with male pattern baldness.
Women with female pattern hair loss
Men or women who want to restore or change the shape of their hairline.
People with areas of scarring from injuries or “scarring” skin diseases, and also patients who experienced some hair loss after surgery, such as face lift procedures.
People who want to thicken or restore eyebrows, eyelashes, and beards.
Men and women who want hair in an area where they have little or no hair.
Hair transplants can take anywhere between 4 to 8 hours, depending on the technique used and how many grafts you need transplanting. Procedures are carried under local anaesthetic and you can return home the same day. Definitely NO GYM and no heavy lifting for a fortnight.
A hair transplant is a minor surgical procedure that transfers hair from the donor area (with strong, healthy, permanent hair) to the affected area (crown, hairline etc.)
Most procedures take between 4 and 8 hours depending on the number of grafts involved and the complexity of the treatment plan. One thing is for certain. We never rush your procedure and we only have one patient at a time so it will take as long as it takes to get the best outcome.
The procedure itself is painless. The surgeon will inject your scalp with local anaesthetic before we begin. We administer baby needles first of all to numb the area before the actual needles these days so the main injections don’t really hurt much and hardly anybody starts crying. If you’ve ever had a tattoo then this will be a walk in the park. Can feel a bit raw afterwards, especially in the donor area but this usually subsides within a couple of days.
We all heal differently but in general terms you’ll be able to feel a bit of fuzz after about 3 months and most of the hair should be visible after around 6 months. It’s common to be a bit underwhelmed with the progress after 6 months or so but things will continue to thicken up for the next year or so and you’ll see continued improvement. It is not possible to implant the same density of grafts that you were born with so it’s important to manage your expectations and not to allow yourself to fall for any sales patter.
Transplanted hair is guaranteed to grow for life. We take the donor grafts from the permanent zone at the back of your head.
An important aspect of any hair transplant is the transection rate. This is the percentage of grafts that are damaged during the extraction process. We examine the extracted grafts under a microscope and if the transection rate rises above 2% we halt the procedure and re-examine our technique and instruments to ensure that we are doing all that we can to protect each precious graft.
You will not average more than 2 hairs per graft.!
Hopefully one procedure will be enough. Transplanted grafts will be there for life but a hair transplant does not stop ongoing hair loss so ways to keep your existing hair should be discussed. We include a comprehensive 12 months aftercare kit to help you to manage any ongoing hair loss.
