Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a hair restoration process where the follicular unit of hair
are extracted from the donor area one by one. For this procedure a micro needle is used
which punches and creates tiny cuts around the hair follicle. This process is done before the
extraction of follicle from the scalp.
Hair follicles are extracted in group of one to four hair. These hair follicle groups are called
grafts. These grafts are then transplanted on the balding area of the patients head. Unlike
FUT, there is no need for the surgeon to make longer cuts in the donor area of the patients
FUE is usually recommended to patients who have undergone FUT or ‘strip’ method but had
no success with either.
